Opus and Bloom County rocks. I remember reading the paper the day it came out. The San Francisco Chronicle ran a full page of BC. Ten strips in all and I feel in love with the series then and there. I was in high school. Damn, that dates me... [img]rolleyes.gif[/img]

My favorite strip then and now was Milo and his grandfather going into a Burger King and milo wanting a hamburger, hold the bun. The counter person argued and argued with him and Milo said, "It says have it your way!" So the kid gets him a burger sans the bun.

Milo then responds, "Milkshake, hold the cup."

I love Bloom Country, at least the earlier stuff, by time the bassett hound joined it was a bit too bizarre for me.

I have a filing cabinet facing my puter desk and next to my Batchicks magnets are bloom country magnets and in the middle is a Mass Dandelion Break picture.

Hmmm... I believe Joan Jett made a "guest appearance" in the festival storyline, but I'd have to check to be sure.
